it's just one or the other

He came uninvited

Knocking on the bridge of my nose

Travelled up to my forehead

Making a racket of his journey

 

He brought along his friend

But they parted on opposite directions

The latter down the pipe of my throat

Scratching his way while sulking

 

Who else pop by unannounced

But the ever loud obnoxious one

Who thinking everyone else is deaf

Performed an orchestra to be noticed

 

 

when not inspired, take the inspiration of others

if life's mundane, make music out of the monotony

when down and out, look up and inwards

nothing is what it is until you make it to be

 

i wanna get out of my skin

i wanna release the other side of me

i wanna personify what i won't be

i just wanna be not i

 

 

responsibility is cruel

she chased away my lovers

left me to face the music

the beat of loneliness and stress

intertwined

 

carefree is immature

she heeds not law and order

nothing matters to her

for life is as your live it

undefined

 

responsibility or carefree,

who shall i choose?

or do they choose me?
